Today: we don't
Owned Outright is free, has no accounts, and currently earns nothing. There are no ads, no affiliate links and no paid placements on the site. It's built and paid for by one person, Ashutosh Anand.
What may change
To cover hosting and time, we expect to add one or both of these later:
- Display ads from an ad network such as Google AdSense. Ads will be clearly separate from calculator results and articles. Before any advertising cookies are set, we'll update our privacy policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
- Referral links to financial services, such as mortgage rate comparison sites. If we're paid when you click or sign up, the link will be labeled, and this page will list the kinds of companies we work with.
We'll update this page before either one appears.
Rules that won't change
- Money never changes the math. Every calculator uses the same tested engine and the method on How we calculate. No advertiser or partner can change a result, a default value or a ranking.
- We don't sell your data. The numbers you enter stay in your browser; we never see them, so we can't sell or share them.
- No paid articles. We don't accept payment to publish, review or mention a product.
- Same answer, whoever advertises. If paying extra on your mortgage isn't your best move, we'll say so, even next to an ad that suggests otherwise.
